Every August since 1984, Sheboygan - the Bratwurst Capital of the World and home to Johnsonville Sausage - has celebrated the mighty Bratwurst with Brat Days.  From 1984 to 2009, runners and walkers from around the country gathered in Sheboygan during the same weekend for the race of the summer - The Brat Trot.  In 2010, the Brat Trot took a year off.  In 2011, it returned. 2013 will be the best year ever!

This event features a 4 mile run/walk starting at the Sports Core in Kohler, WI and ending Sheboygan Brat Days in Kiwanis Park in Sheboygan, WI. It also includes an untimed 2 mile walk starting and finishing at the Sports Core in Kohler, WI. 

Participants:

Participants will receive a will organized, professional event, chip timing, custom Brat Trot t-shirt, sponsor goodies, a free brat on a stick compliments of Johnsonville, and loads of fun!

Start & Finish: 

The start is at the Sports Core in Kohler, WI. The finish for the 4 mile run/walk is at Kiwanis Park in Sheboygan, WI. The finish for the untimed 2 mile walk is at the Sports Core.

Course:

The 4 mile run/walk starts on the streets of Kohler, WI heading north to the Old Plank Road Recreational Trial. Once on the Old Plank Road Trial the race continues towards Sheboygan over scenic, rolling terrain. Arriving in Sheboygan, the race continues down blacktop and concrete streets through Taylor Park on the way to the downhill finish at the home of the World Famous Brat Days and Kiwanis Park.

The 2 mile walk starts on the streets of Kohler and uses local streets and paved trails. The 2 mile walk starts and finishes at the Sports Core in Kohler, WI.

Aid Station:

There will be an aid station stocked with water for all participants located approximately halfway through the 4 mile run course in Taylor Park. Please be sure to thank the volunteers staffing the aid station.

Registration:

Registration is open. On-line registration preferred! Register at Active.com. Registration is $20 until end of day on 7/13. After 7/13 registration will be $25 online. Registration at Packet Pick Up and Race Day will be $30.

All prices include WI sales tax.

Packet Pick-Up/Race Day Registration:

Early Packet Pick-Up will be available on 8/2/2013 at the Sports Core in Kohler, WI from 4PM-7PM. Come pick up your t-shirt early and beat the lines race morning! Didn't register by the time online registration closed, but don't want to wait till race morning to register? That's OK - you can register at early packet pick up too!

Packet Pick-up and Race Day Registration begins at 6:30 a.m. on Saturday August 3rd, 2013 at the Sports Core. The race starts promptly at 8:00 a.m. Participants MAY pick up other participants packets. Race day registration is $30 per participant.

Awards:

The awards presentation will take place shortly after the event on the Variety Stage.  Awards will be given to overall male and female winners and to the top 3 age group winners.  Age groups are as follows:  14-Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+

Parking/Transportation:

Parking will be available at the Sports Core and in Kiwanis Park. There will be a shuttle bus to transport participants to/from the start and finish. Shuttle buses will run from 7:00am to 10:00am.  Pick-up locations are Kiwanis Park in Sheboygan and The Sports Core in Kohler. Shuttles are being provided free of charge thanks to Discovery Coaches of Sheboygan.
