Congratulations to all the runners who completed the Green Lake Area 13dot1 Half Marathon and 5K! We hope you had a great race and that we'll see you again next year!

The Green Lake Half Marathon features a scenic, tree-lined race route that starts and finishes in the city of Green Lake, with several stretches along the shores of beautiful Green Lake. The run includes a tour of the lovely Green Lake Conference Center, which has many historic structures and extensive stone walls that date from the Victor and Jessie Lawson era in the early 1900s, as well as manicured golf courses.

When September 2, 2012. Half marathon starts at 8:00 AM. 5K Run starts at 8:15 AM. The kid's fun run starts at 10:00 AM

Schedule of Events:

September 1, 2012:

  • 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM: Packet pick up and registration at the Green Lake City Hall Gymnasium, 534 Mill Street.

September 2, 2012:

  • 6:00 AM - 7:30 AM: Packet pick up and registration at the Green Lake City Hall Gymnasium, 534 Mill Street.
  • 8:00 AM - Half Marathon Start
  • 8:15 AM - 5K Start
  • 10:00 AM - Free Kids Fun Run

Packets consist of a long sleeved shirt and hat for half marathon runners registered by 8/15, or a t-shirt for 5K runners or half marathon runners registered after 8/15. All runners will receive a race number and a disposable timing chip. The chip MUST be worn on the shoe to receive a time. NO CHIP NO TIME.

Course Information:

Both the 5K and Half Marathon start in front of the chamber of commerce offices in beautiful Green Lake. The half marathon progresses along the lakeshore out into the rolling countryside, taking runners through the historic Green Lake Conference Center. The 5K takes runners through the tree lined streets of Green Lake. Both races end in a festival-like atmosphere at Deacon Mills Park, complete with food and beer!

Refund and Weather Policy:

This race will be held no matter what Mother Nature throws at us: rain, snow, sleet, ice or shine. That said, in the event of severe weather, the race may be delayed or canceled. If the race is canceled there will be NO REFUNDS. There are no refunds for any reason.
