Picking a goal race is one of the best ways to keep yourself on track when starting a fitness program. Just in time for the New Year's Day resolution season, Race Day Events has opened their registrations for the WI Tri Series presented by Trek Bicycle Stores of Madison. These 6 races span the whole summer racing season and offer both sprint and olympic distance races.
We're excited that the Weather Channel included the Madison Mud Run as one of the 5 nationwide Halloween Races you should do! Check out their coverage (and the other cool races) here!
We heard your feedback that repeat mud runners would like a new and fresh course! RDE staff have been busily designing a new course to go along with the new obstacles that we develop each race. We finalized it this week, giving it a test run on Wednesday and we're pretty excited about it!
We're also excited about our partnership with US Cellular. They're sponsoring a contest to see who is the dirtiest mud runner. How do you play? It's pretty easy:
Step 1: Do Mud Run. Have Fun. Get dirty.
Step 2: Take a picture of yourself.
It's supposed to turn cold and fall-like tomorrow. What better time to start thinking about how you can move your training and racing indoors? Get registered for the first of the Pinnacle Indoor Triathlons and keep your indoor training motivation high, even when the temperatures are low!
The Six-Legged Race, a 5K race for dogs and their two legged companions is Saturday September 29th, 2012 at 9:30 AM. This run starts and ends at Capital Brewery in Middleton. Stick around after the run for Dogtoberfest - an afternoon of bands, drinks and dogs in the Capital Brewery Beer Garden.
For more information on both events visit the Dogtoberfest website.
Race Day Events is proud to announce the addition of two more events to our race calendar:
6/28/2012 and 7/17/2012 - We're bringing the aquathon to Janesville! The first of these new races will be help at 7PM at Lions Park in Janesville. Check out the website for more information
We've been reading Robyn Perrin's blog posts about our races, and we've been really enjoying them hearing the personal stories behind some of our racers. We like them so much that we wanted to share. Check out this awesome race re-cap with a personal spin:
